Loktec Security Group Managing Director Mr. David Hardy has been crowned the winner of the Co-Ops big idea! 

The judges described Loktec as an outstanding company, whose presentation within The Dragons Den ticked all the boxes required from innovation to presentation to design and overall money saving objectives and security solutions for the ATM and Retail Industry. 

David was pleased to be presented the prestigious award by Nick Hewer (Nasty Nick) from the BBC’s popular TV show “The Apprentice”.  


Loktec is listed on the SAFE contractor website as an approved contractor. The company’s application for SAFE contractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard business wide.

ATMIA is an independent, non-profit trade association, their mission is: to promote ATM convenience, growth and usage worldwide: to protect the industry’s assets, interests, good name and public trust; and to provide education, best practices, political voice and networking opportunities for member organizations. 



The British Security Industry Association is the trade association for the private security industry in the UK. Its members provide over 70% of UK security products and services and adhere to strict quality standards. Loktec look to the BSIA membership as the symbol of quality and professionalism for security buyers and industry partners. 



Loktec is an accredited manufacturer member of the MLA. With the absence of government licensing of locksmiths, The Master Locksmiths Association, a not for profit organisation established to promote the level of skills and ethics within the industry, has established its own licensing scheme whereby its approved companies are vetted, undergo regular inspections to ensure quality, and employ a lock smith with a recognised exam based qualification. 



Eurosafe UK promotes recognition of current European Standards for testing and rating cash safes document/data fire safes and other security containers and encourages recognition of the European Fire & Security Group (EFSG) and the European Certification Board.Security (ECB.S). Advising underwriters, brokers and their representative bodies of the importance of recommending safes tested and certified in accordance with the following European standards by members of EFSG.  



In January this year, Loktec Security Group was rewarded for excellent strides in Health and Safety compliance and best practice. The Company passed the BP HSSE Accreditation Audit, carried out by SMTS, with a score of 80.4%. It ensures that Loktec Security Group is re-accredited once again to work on BP sites in the UK.
